Healing Cycles of Violence
From the Inside Out

We equip community leaders
with skills in mental health and healing
to build resilient communities
and disrupt cycles of trauma and harm.

Why Trauma Healing?

Icon of four people in different colors

Trauma is everywhere

While human is touched by trauma, communities impacted by interpersonal and systemic violence bear a disproportionate burden.

Icon of two orange people, one is looking down and the other has their hand around their shoulders

Resources to heal are not

Stigma, shame, and a scarcity of culturally responsive mental health resources mean that most survivors suffer in silence.

Red icons of medical cross, heart shape with a heart beat graph over it, and a money bag with $ over it

The impact is devastating

Unaddressed trauma can lead to illness, disease, and early death, and an alarming economic cost to individuals and society.

The effects are generational

Cycles of trauma and harm can transfer both biologically and socially, affecting entire families, communities, and institutions for generations.
